Its sad that so many people are not understanding about this topic. This story has torn me up. Why should a person trying to better her children be sent to jail? It is unjust!
Akron woman jailed over over kids' school address

AKRON (AP) — An Ohio woman convicted of improperly enrolling her children in a neighboring school district has left jail after serving nine days.
The Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network is trying to raise money online so Kelley Williams-Bolar can appeal her case. She indicated to the Akron-Beacon Journal following her release Wednesday that she was overwhelmed by support and attention.
A jury this month convicted the Akron woman of felony records tampering. Prosecutors said she registered her two daughters for school using her father's address in the suburban Copley-Fairlawn district.
The Beacon-Journal reports Williams-Bolar was sentenced to 10 days in jail but the judge gave her credit for one day of time served when she was arrested in November 2009.
